Tara Cooper

Just came across these images by Ms Tara Cooper who was my screen printing tutor in Toronto. Here is a wee bit about the work found on the ever interesting Mocoloco Web site:

Off-Season is an homage by Tara Cooper to Panama City Beach, Florida and the migratory habits of the retired. Cooper's 95-year-old grandmother is a snowbird who has made the annual journey to the south an important part of her life for many years. But as time rolls by, many friends are no longer present and the shine is wearing off the area. The clubby atmosphere is fading, along with the energies, but the temperate climate is still a draw. The cyclical nature of a resort town past its prime is reflected in this bittersweet work.
